We have been loving our trips to the Halswell Quarry over the last few weeks. The children have been exploring the quarry environment and have been able to link this with their learning about Tane, the God of the forest. Hopefully we will be able to fit in a few more trips to do some more exploring before the year ends.

We have kicked off our learning this Term by reading the story "The Tree that could not be cut down." We have started to make our own Tane forests in our studios... check them out below! 

Today we had a Golden Ticket hunt to celebrate Roald Dahl's birthday!

Congratulations to all these children for presenting at our Grandparents Assembly today. You spoke so well in front of so many people! Ka pai

In Orongomai we are having lots of fun experimenting with colour! We did an experiment with water and dye....check out what happened.  If you want to try this at home watch the video for the instructions.
