ANZAC Learning

Ōrongomai students completed a variety of learning themed on ANZAC Day for week 2 of our distance learning. The following photos are some examples of their amazing learning. Thanks to everyone for sharing with your teachers the photos of your mouth-watering ANZAC biscuits; your intricately-made wreaths; and your interesting stories inspired by ANZAC Ted. There were many creative designs for marketing a new type of biscuit; and it was interesting to see that the “Corona Biscuit” featured more than once as an idea. The Ōrongomai teachers hope you had a lovely ANZAC Day with your family.

ANZAC Day Poppies With public Anzac parades and civic services cancelled around the country due to Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, one Westport local has found a solution to mark the occasion: making poppies from reusable shopping bags. Today, Ōrongomai teachers shared this idea with you so you can try it at home. Please share your poppies in your portfolios on Class Dojo.
