In our problem solving math sessions we have been creating beaches inspired by the book 'One Is a Snail Ten is a Crab.'
We have been using a range of strategies to figure out how many feet are on each other's beaches and to prove the number of feet on our own beach:
2 = person
4 = dog
5 = starfish
6 = insect
8 = spider
10 = crab
